Chaaa Ching!!

This was my haul from Walgreens today!! This is my best deal shopping yet :-) I got $165.86 worth of stuff today...

for a grand total of $16.69 after sales, discounts, coupons, register rewards and rebates!! WOO HOO

I honestly was so proud of myself I called Tim at work. Of course he ooohed and ahhhed at my shopping prowess...NOT! But whatever. I was pretty excited anyway! And yes, I bought a grand total of 12 3 musketeers bars :-) They happen to be my favorite candy bar, but I bought them only because they were about 7 cents each!! If I can keep finding deals like these, we can be the "cool" house that passes out full size candy bars for Halloween.

3/4ths...

Well.. the dishwasher is installed, the chores were done and a big superbowl party was had! We moved our living room couches into the family room for extra seating for the big game and it worked out fabulously! The kids want to keep it this way hehehee The food was yummy and all my new recipes went over well! I made one from PW Spicy Shredded pork that was super yummy!! We had a ball even though the Colts lost, and all was right with the world last night.

Until...

I didnt even get 3/4ths of the beauty sleep I require
Because my kids were occupying 3/4ths of the large bowls in our home
3/4ths of my kids actually were using 3/4ths of the large bowls.
and dirtying 3/4ths of the bedding....

So needless to say...ALL of my children are currently laying all over 3/4ths of the couches in our family room overdosing on Disney videos (can you guess where we are going on vacay this year:-) and sprite. YUCK!

I am assuming it is viral and not food related since not everyone got ill..but really? There should be a rule that you can have no more than 1 puking child at a time. Just sayin.

So no cutesy pictures today....just one tired mommy and a ton of sick kiddos and a hyped up 3 year old. Wooo hooo Is it nap time yet???

What a day...

Hmmmm...
Today seems to be one of those days where I should just crawl back to bed and start over. It started nicely enough...kids off to school, no one forgot any papers or missed the bus. Sam even slept in a bit so I could snooze a bit get tons of stuff done. Then it started....

The day from heck! It doesnt help that my kitchen currently looks like this



we got a new dishwasher delivered today and so I have everything out from under my kitchen sink. This is where the delivery guys placed it, so I cant move around my island anymore.

Of course while the delivery guys were removing the ancient dishwasher that we unhooked last night, they managed to dump a ton of stinky smelly water all over my hall that was evidently hiding in the dishwasher somewhere.

I also learned today that once you unhook a dishwasher you cant run your kitchen sink. Duuh. Which of course led to much more water, only all over my kitchen and it wasnt smelly :-)

My three year old was in a serious mood today and threw no less than 10 tantrums this morning over meaningless infractions like me placing the oranges on the plate instead of on the napkin. (finally napping now!!)

Due to the fact that I have SO many people who change their clothes here and all the water issues my laundry currently looks like this



with yet more loads in the washer and dryer.

I have still yet to figure out how I am going to cook without using my sink and have decided I am going to burn lots of calories since I cant go around my island at all.

Not to mention we still have to figure out how to install the dishwasher. :-(

I think that I need to go back to bed and wake up tomorrow and have it all done hehehe

Wordless Wednesday

Almost There...

I just about have it finished. My friend Mandi took time away from her very busy schedule to help me out in learning how to design my blog! Thanks Mandi!!! After many hours of aggravation, it is finally finished for the most part and believe it or not, it was FUN! I am loving my new look!! I have a few tweeks to fix (My header doesnt go all the way across on some wide screen monitors, so I have to fix that so if you all see anything else that needs some "tweeking" please let me know!!!

Winter Guard

Taylor is involved in Winter Guard this time of year and had her second competition over the weekend. To her great dismay excitement, I taped it and uploaded it to You T*be. :-) Anyway, We thought that they did great and she looked beautiful as always....They got 3rd place this time out of around 10 teams...

Chinese New Year

So we are quickly approaching our next holiday for our family. I am still relatively undecided if we are going to do any thing for our extended friends and family, but today Sammy and I talked about Chinese New Year. Ok, well I talked and he listened and pretty much chattered to himself :-)

I actually planned ahead for a change and requested some books from our library and were thrilled with them



We liked them both but Sammy LOVED the red book since it was a pop up kind of book with tabs to move the chopstick, or envelope to open to show "lucky money" it had a dial that you could turn and see what Year it will be and what year you were born in. It is the year of the Tiger btw...

Sammy especially liked this part of the book.


After story time was done, we moved onto the oh so important craft time of our day. I seriously feel like every picture I get of him is in his booster chair! I promise he isnt in there all day, he just actually sits still then...for the most part.

We ordered these super cute chinese new year stamps...








and I ordered these cute CNY foam stickers too...





We were planning on doing fried rice and potstickers for dinner, but the rest of the day got away from me and it ended up being pizza night :-)

We will see what we can create next week!!! Caterpillars anyone??
