Yeah!! We finally recieved our PreApproval letter for Sammy!! (Click on it to enlarge it so you can actually read it!!) Basically this "locks" him for us in the eyes of the Chinese Govt. We were already matched by the orphanage but now we have the approval from the CCAA!! This is very exciting for us since we have been waiting since July for it! ALSO....Our homestudy Social worker told the agency that she will have our Homestudy done for us tommorrow! It has taken 4.5 weeks!! :-( Instead of the one week initally promised. But it will be done tomorrow YIPPEE!! This means as soon as it has been proofread several times our immigration paperwork will head down to the National Benefits Center in Missouri and we will begin our long wait for immigration approval! (as of this writing it has been taking 90 days to process this but hopefully things will speed up for us!) God has blessed us beyond measure today! I have been praying for patience with the homestudy delay and been trying hard to remember that His timing is always perfect so this was a gentle reminder! Especially since I had been frustruated today and unable to access my computer since I was in a training class, and came home to the message left at 9:30 this morning!! I am sure that was perfect timing on Gods part because he knew I would be worthless at work the rest of the day! We also were blessed with pictures today as well..What a wonderful day!! The family who took them were visiting the SWI at naptime but of course my little guy was the only one of the kiddos not sleeping that they needed pix of!! He does however look like he did need the nap....

Of Course Food ALWAYS helps...(he will fit right in here...)

Ok...So now here is my cutie pie...with a jello cup stuck to his face

All in all I think this is the best day we have had in a while...Also, the ornaments I preordered to sell are in and they are just gorgeous!!! Hopefully they will be a good fundraiser for us! I also can start to apply for grants now that my homestudy is done and I am still being able to work overtime at work to help with the financing. All is working out so well for us, we are so very blessed and are so grateful for that!
Please keep us in your prayers for guidance and patience in our journey
Blessings,

2 little notes from friends:
Congratulations on such a wonderful day! I am a firm believer that the Lord knows the exact time that we need a day full of such wonderful surprises! I hope our "surprise" day comes soon with our LOA! The patience is wearing extremely thin in the Phelps househould. ( By the way, our little princess was one of the toddlers who was asleep during the orphanage visit.) I cannot wait to visit the SWI in person and take pictures for the waiting families. It truly is a blessing!
Have a great day!

Amy,
Nice job on the blog makeover, I love the frogs. Samuel is such a cutie. I simply cannot wait to get him together with all the other Nanjing treasures. Being the only boy (so far), he is going to be quite the ladies man. Oh, I can't wait to meet him.
I know the wait is torture, but in the end, it is all worth it.
See ya Monday,
Mandi
