valentines day and a few minutes of fame!

sammy photo book 033

My hubby was very very good to me this Valentines day!! A dozen roses, a beautiful card, a venti sized fav drink from St*rbucks and dinner at my fav thai resturant.... NO KIDS!!!! It was a wonderful night and my hubby was even patient enough to listen to me prattle on about adoption plans!!! 16+ years and I still love my guy so very much!!!! We dont typically "do" valentines, and we have been so cautious about spending any money that this was especially sweet of him!!! :-)

We also had our couple of minutes of fame today. We were in the sunday paper read about it here
It is a great story of the support group that I belong to that is comprised of moms who have all adopted from the Nanjing SWI!! I am not pictured but some of the girls who are from there are!! They are a great group of women who have been invaluable to me in this journey!

We are really hoping to hear our LID this week. I am anxious to start my countdown through another line :-) We are sending out the next few grant applications as well as a care package to our little guy! I will post more on that later!

Blessings

Amy,
What a super article! I would love for Maylee to meet up with the group one day in the future.
I'm with y'all, if someone handed me some extra money, I would go back in a heartbeat!
I cannot wait to follow your adventures to your precious little boy. I am telling you, I fell in love with him at the orphanage! He is going to fit right in with your sweet family. Please know that I am praying for you. I have not forgotten how hard it is to wait and I know that you have heard it said many times, but I promise you it will all be SO worth it when you meet Sammy for the 1st time! God's timing is perfect!

Hi Amy!
Good article! We are adopting a little boy from Wuxi SWI with the same SN as your Sammy! Good blog!

Thanks Rebecca,
I am still so thrilled with my smiling pics! Did he seem outgoing to you? I am trying to decide if we want to do HK disney with him? What do you think? Thanks so much for the reminder about Gods Timing. I actually have had a peace about the timing lately!...I (atleast right now) am enjoying the preparation for him.
