Friday night Sammy experienced his first football game...and homecoming to boot! It was loud, it was obnoxious, it was exciting...it was Homecoming!! We went not only to enjoy the game (we lasted 3 of the 4 quarters) but to finally get to see taylor perform in color guard!! She did great and we had a ball!

Saturday morning was spent on yet another football field, of the local variety. Zach played his first tackle football game and had a blast! He has been wanting to play football for the last 3 years but hasnt been old enough until now. In fact one of the first things he told me when I got home from china is "Look Mom...I got my tooth knocked out at football..." Sweet. Of course it was already loose, but he was SO proud!
Zach is #5
Takin a quick break
So NOT in the mood for pictures...he lost a fight with a bee over his animal crackers early on in the game :-( Poor baby!!Saturday night was spent at a band competition. This is our first year as "color guard parents" and I have to say it was quite exciting! Taylor did an awsome job and so did the entire band! They play in the top division and I thought they atleast deserved 2nd, but they got 3rd! Not too shabby for their first competiton. I didnt get any pictures of this one...I am really going to need to invest in a good zoom lens to get some great shots of color guard this year!
Sunday we spent at church (Forgot how much work church is with a 3 year old....) and had some great friends over to hang out. I also had it in my head that we *needed* a new family picture! Now in my defense I did tell everyone ahead of time we were going to do it today. However...not everyone was as thrilled with the idea as I was....

I think our friends took 30 pictures..all while laughing hysterically at my feeble idea of getting a family of 6 too look all the same way at the same time and smile perfectly!!! What a ordeal!! A couple of the pictures turned out ok...I think. I have to work on them a bit and we will see!!!!
Sammy continues to be a joy for us! He is SUCH a clown. If you laugh he is going to keep on doing it! I need to get my video out more since he is chattering away in Mandarin all the time. He is learning the ABC song, He says mommy, I love you, shoes (remember the attachement to them) more, hello and bye bye. My hubby and older kiddos have also taught him to say such wonderful things as: Whats up Dawg?, Nantah (a silly phrase all my kids say) Fampilla (Mandarin for Fart) and such other education items. My house may not ever be quiet...but we laugh a lot!!!
Blessings
Amy
