He is officially ours!!

Today we offically completed our adoption of Hua Yong Yang in the eyes of the chinese government! We had an appt at the civil affairs office where we completed more paperwork! We had a short interview and we were all official. We also met the director and the assistant director of the orphanage and have been invited to visit tomorrow, but it is still doubtful that we will meet any of the children due to the Swine flu...we shall see!

After that appt we spent the rest of the moring at Walmart. let me tell you if you think that american walmarts are bad you have absolutely no idea!! We bought Yangyang quite a bit of stuff for our 27 USD though. We have learned that he is on a very rigid schedule. We were checking out at 11:40 (10 min after naptime was due) and he tripped and fell like he has often since we got him...well he just proceded to sob this time and fell asleep in my arm within about 5 minutes. I then toted the little guy down escalators stood in line for 10 minutes waiting for a taxi, survived the drive and toted him back into the hotel and up to the room. All of this in about 98 degree weather with about 100% humidity! We will just say we were both drenched, but he stayed asleep and slept until 2:30!!! Oh and did I mention that he sleeps snuggled up between us in bed...Love it!!!

The rest of the day was fun time....playing with mom and dad, swimming in the pool, dinner at the papa johns, a beautiful lighted river boat ride and finally some yummy ice cream at Hagandaz (sp)!!! He is such a joy for us. He is hilarious and really starting to sing and chatter! we walked to another market today and just went through and picked up snacks for him...no idea what they are but he is happy!! It is funny how particular he is. We went to the mall to eat at papa johns and they have a croc store there. I was going to buy him some since the ones we brought were too small. I found the cutest pair that were green and blue with mickey heads for holes....did he like them?? Nope, just shook his head no. At the walmart there were several hats we were looking at and he was very definative on what he liked and what he didnt. Just one more thing we are learning about our little guy!

He and the other child in our 2 family travel group are buds despite their age differences. She is kind of using him as a security blanket and talking with him. She is very sweet and always redirects him to mama and baba if he needs something, but she enjoys him and he makes her feel safe. She recieved and ipod touch from her new parents and she has been sharing it with Yangyang! Too cute!!

All in all, another fun filled day for us! He is doing amazingly well and is very laid back! He is amazingly well behaved in the fact that he listens the very first time you say No. Too bad it wont last :-)

We got to chat with Emily and Zach via skype today and they got to meet their brother! We havent been able to get to chat with Taylor yet!

Tomorrow is the orphanage visit and then I think we are going to do some touring!! So here is what you really want anyway:
