oAs far as the blog title goes....
We have quite the little spoiled emperor on our hands. Now that he is getting more comfortable with us his personality is coming out more and more. He is a clown and loves to sing and giggle, but boy oh boy did he play me. Tim could not get him to sleep while I was shopping...(remember he takes 2 hour naps!!) so he was beyond tired when I returned from shopping. He had been throwing things and finally threw his shoes at Baba. Tim took the shoes and placed them on top of the TV. OMgoodness! One would think that the world had ended. He just screamed and sobbed and then wouldnt even look at us or do anything. Was a total limp noodle. I freaked...thought he was shutting down ect... He hadnt eaten dinner, just refused to do anything. I caved and fussed at Tim to give him back his shoes after about 40 minutes. He did and literally the SECOND he got those shoes back on his feet he was all smiles and ready to go to dinner!!!! Ugghhh...I did kind of forget this part of having a 3 year old. He pulled it again when we were done with dinner. He didnt want to leave Kate. I took him and brought him back to the room and he cried and cried....and finally fell asleep. Of course I fell asleep too....He was fine...just mad that he didnt get to do what he wants! Stubborn little guy!
Other observations:
His gross motor skills are lacking...he falls ALOT! he cannot do stairs at all without help and has no concept of boundaries as in where the edge of the bed, chair ect is...he just expects us to catch him.
His fine motor also are behind. He doesnt use a spoon very well...nor chopsticks. He colors and draws well, and has great pincher skills, but I doubt he has ever had to feed himself!
He is INDEPENDANT about alot of things. I bought this traditional chinese outfit for him, and tried it on him to see if it fit. Then I took it off to save till we were in Guangzhou, next thing I know, he is undressed and back in the Chinese outfit! He also stripped off all of his clothes, climbed in the tub and turned on the water....I think I am in some trouble when I return home!
Tonight we leave for Guangzhou. It is sad to be leaving his Province, but we are excited to see new things in China! I love this country...we are having so much fun!!
Here are the long waited for pics!!!

All the girls love me!!!
Oh and by the way....He really does like me too, it is just that I am always the one with the camera!!!!
Blessings
Amy

2 little notes from friends:
Glad to hear things are going well. He sounds like doll.
Don't sweat the developmental stuff too much. My daughter had a lot fo the same issues and is catching up nicely. That's just the Nanjing SWI- they don't let the do much for themselves.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
It looks like you went to a different part of the wall than we did. Ours was not that nice. Anyway it is nice to hear that Sammy is doing so well. remember what we learned in our classes that if they throw a fit it means they are comfortable with us. So, I guess in a way, it is good that Sammy is throwing fits for you.
BTW, did you get my e-mail about Elsa? I will send you the link to their blog privately.
Hugs,
Mandi
