Then Tim and Doug and Yangyang headed back to their hotel on the Island and Sue and Kate and I went with our guide to the Quing Ping market. Contrary to popular belief it is not a market selling animals for entree items but a herbal medicine market and lots of pet supplies to go along with the pets for sale. Odd, but thats China. We went through the market and up to a bookstore and then back to the hotel for more shopping. We were having fun...the guys maybe not so much! I bought Yangyang some squeeky shoes. They are sooo cute. Unfortunately as soon as we got into the hotel lobby Daddy declared that they needed to go! Tooo loud for our upscale hotel I suppose :-)
We headed out to dinner at a nearby resturant that is close to our hotel. We had a great time. It was called 1001 arabian nights. The food was yummy and reasonable and they have live belly dancing every night. It was cool to see and totally unexpected to find belly dancing in China. Hehheehehee. It was really tasteful though and Yangyang was enamored with the girls :-)
Tomorrow we are shopping with Ann from Red thread. I am so excited to get some good deals on the last of my souvineer shopping. I havent bought much so far and was happy to wait for her to get the best deals!
